Exporting from Wild Apricot while using Chrome

You may find it hard to open up the XML file.  This has come up with the newest versions of Chrome. Chrome is ignoring your computer’s default file associations (like XML opening in Excel) and is trying to open the file in a Chrome window. This problem only occurs if, after the file downloads, you try to open the download within Chrome.

What you’ll probably want to do instead is either use Windows Explorer, File Explorer, or Microsoft Excel first, and open the XML file where you saved it (usually in Downloads).  Don’t use Chrome to open it.

No such problems with Internet Explorer or Firefox.
