Slideshows

One of my big complaints on current web “design” is the use of slideshows to present the content that could easily fit within one or two pages into considerably more views. This isn’t about providing content in the easiest way for visitors to access it, it’s about creating the most number of impressions for advertisers to advertise on the content. I understand the need to do so to a point, but it’s done entirely too often, and sometimes the fracturing of the content is just ridiculous.

Here’s an example.

It could have just been a list, that’s how basic this content is.  And yet they expect people to pulse through 7 different views to get the content?  Ugh.
