As promised in August…
Below are the number of “Likes” for Pennsylvania associations on Facebook in order of Likes. Any “+” sign in the October number indicated that the organization moved up in the order of Likes amongst Pennsylvania associations. There are several organizations listed with a NL, for Not Listed, with the August numbers – we did not include organizations called a Society in that count, only those called associations. Societies have been added. In addition, we found a few other organizations that should have been listed, and a few organization added enough Likes in the past two months to meet the 150 Like Minimum for inclusion in this report.
The percentage is the amount of increase in Likes over the two month period from August 11, 2011 and October 11, 2011. One actually decreased. More about the percentages after the countdown.
The 47 associations that we measured both in August and in October in terms of Likes averaged a 4.72% increase in Likes over the two month interval. The biggest number of Likes increase belonged to the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture, but they have over 3000 “Likes” now so that shows up as a 10.8% increase. The biggest percentage increase belonged to the Association of Pennsylvania College and University Faculties (APSCUF), which achieved a 25 percent increase, followed closely by the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors, at 22.7% increase.
It’ll be interesting to see if the average association “Like Increase” will remain at 4.7% or so, or if it will change drastically based on campaigns by associations AND by changes on Facebook. We’ll do this report again in mid-December to measure the results.
